Ashley has 26 years experience in the dry cleaning industry working and trained by Raymond Galbraith (formally of Clunes and Brookes Dry Cleaners) with his 45 years experience. Ashley is also Laboratory trained by SATRA (Fabric Care Technology Centre) and extensively trained on delicate fabrics and stain removal working with Seitz and Kreussler chemicals
We clean using Perchloroethylene solvent (Chemical formula C2 C1 4) Also sometimes known as 'Tetrachloroethylene' which is a man made non flamable solvent that was introduced back in the mid 1930's. Most dry cleaners use this solvent due to the effective results that it produces.
Our equipment is top of the range German Bowe (which are also installed on all the large cruise liners and top end dry cleaners) These are serviced regulary by a BOWE engineer with over 30 years experience.
Random and annual inspections are carried out by Health and Safety and Environmental Control to extreme high standards and permits are issued to allow continuation of trading.
All solvents and chemicals used are top grade.
We have extensive knowledge and experience in the use of Acids, Alkali's and Solvents for specialist pre-spotting and stain removal on all man made and natural fabrics.
Some dry cleaners offer a 'Gold', 'Exclusive' etc etc service for two types / standards of cleaning. In our opinion there is only one standard that you can have, you either do it properly in the first place or NOT AT ALL.
